ABSTRACT:
A machine unit through which a thread is guided includes a drafting unit comprised of double godets, a texturing unit, a relax unit comprising double rollers, and a winding device. The drafting unit and the relax unit are arranged at an angle of less than 90.degree. to a reference plane, while the winding device is arranged at an angle (.delta.) of essentially 90.degree. to the reference plane. Furthermore, an operator's working position is provided, from which the aforementioned arrangement of the drafting unit and relax unit relative to the winding device is accessible.
