ABSTRACT:
Aromatic nitrile-containing compounds are provided of the formula: ##STR1## where n is 1 or 2; R is selected from H, Cl, Br, NO.sub.2, a lower alkyl group containing from 1 to about 4 carbon atoms, and a lower alkoxy group containing from 1 to about 4 carbon atoms; R.sub.1 is selected from H and CH.sub.3 ; and R.sub.2 is selected from CH.sub.2 CH.sub.2 CN, an alkyl group containing from 1 to about 6 carbon atoms and: ##STR2## where R.sub.1 has the value given above.
