ABSTRACT:
An armature winding includes a plurality of strand groups each having strands transposed and bound in at least two rows and multiple tiers, and a main insulator for covering the strand group. The strands belonging to a strand group on one side of a central strand group has a cross-sectional area smaller than that of the control strand group, and the strands belonging to the strand group on the other side of the central strand group has a cross-sectional area larger than that of the central strand group.
