ABSTRACT:
An archery bow is disclosed having a handle section and recurved limbs, the recurve of the limbs being substantially greater than has been practicable heretofore, the limbs being thick and formed of an elastic material having a minimum elongation of 4% and a maximum tangent flexural modulus of elasticity of 2,000,000 p.s.i., thereby providing a bow having exceptional twist resistance, notwithstanding the extent of recurvature of the limbs. Additional twist resistance is provided by elevated string guides. Embodiments are also disclosed providing for adjustment of the recurved limbs with respect to the handle section of the bow. A novel method for manufacturing the improved bows is also disclosed.
