ABSTRACT:
An aqueous single liquid phase detergent composition suitable for topical application to human skin comprises from 10% to 50% by weight of one or more C.sub.12 to C.sub.18 fatty acid soaps; and from 5% to 30% by weight of one or more ethoxylated C.sub.8 to C.sub.22 fatty alcohol having an average of from 20 to 50 ethoxylate groups.
The composition is preferably in the form of a transparent gel product, suitably for washing the face.
