ABSTRACT:
An aqueous solution of a chemically stabilized chlorite matrix for intravenous and perioperative administration in a dosed amount of 6.2.times.10.sup.-6 mole of ClO.sub.2 -- to 9.3.times.10.sup.-5 mole of ClO.sub.2 -- per kg of body weight to humans and animals is described.
