ABSTRACT:
Aqueous-based sealant composition comprising at least one vinylidene chloride copolymer which has modal molecular weight Mp of at least 200,000, wherein the composition has Tg below 0.degree. C. The vinylidene chloride copolymer preferably includes polymerized units of an internally plasticizing comonomer and an unsaturated carboxylic acid. The composition preferably includes an external plasticizer and a filler material (particularly untreated calcium carbonate).
