ABSTRACT:
A phototherapy apparatus for the treatment of psoriasis which includes a dielectric-discharge excimer lamp32, which is equipped with a reflector34and optical system36for ensuring a substantially uniform density of energy, is mounted on a maneuverable arm40. The arm40is mounted to a stand24. An electronic control unit20and a radiofrequency power supply unit22are connected to the lamp32. A pipe of a cooling circuit9is connected to the lamp32via the arm40. The pipe9connects to an air-liquid exchanger3with a de-ionizer having a temperature sensor5and a sensor7. The sensors5, 7and10are connected to a microcontroller12, which is connected to an operating panel14and to a display16and a printer18. A hardware container26is provided on the stand to hold the radiofrequency power supply unit22, the printer28, the microcontroller12, the control panel30, and the air-liquid exchanger3.
