ABSTRACT:
An apparatus which transmits torque between two flywheels mounted between the crankshaft of the internal combustion engine and the input shaft of the change-speed transmission in a motor vehicle has a composite damper system having first and second dampers which operate in series and a friction generating device which is operated with a delay following each change of the direction of angular movement of one of the flywheels relative to the other flywheel. The input element of one of the first and second dampers is the output element of the other of the first and second dampers.
