ABSTRACT:
Apparatus for sharpening microtome blades comprises a frame and a horizontally sliding carriage reciprocated on the frame by a drive motor and chain drive. The frame carries a high speed motor and a low speed motor which can be selectively coupled to strops and the carriage has a clamp member to clamp a microtome blade for engagement by the strops.
