ABSTRACT:
An improved linear accelerator separator wherein much higher kinetic energy can be imparted to the particulate matter thereby significantly increasing the separation efficiency as compared to the prior art. In particular, the particles and airstream are rapidly accelerated and directed into an expansion chamber which is sufficiently long to permit the particles to expand or spread out and fall to the chamber bottom and to permit the airstream to lose velocity and to back up or turn around and exit from the chamber entrance.
