ABSTRACT:
A video disk player comprises a holding device which holds a retaining frame in a casing for containing a disk and unlocks the same from the casing when the casing containing therein the disk accompanied with the retaining frame is inserted into a housing of the player, thereby leaving the disk and the retaining frame inside the housing when the casing is drawn out of the housing, and releases the retaining frame and locks the same to the casing when the empty casing is inserted into the housing, thereby allowing to take the disk and the retaining frame out of the housing while the disk and the retaining frame are housed in the casing when the casing is drawn out of the housing. The holding device includes a shaft device of a double-shaft structure having first and second shafts.
