ABSTRACT:
Apparatus for collection and removal of settled solids from the bottom part of a sedimentation zone, comprising a scraper blade attached to a bridge and drawn reciprocatingly and repetitively in a longitudinal path along the sedimentation zone. Means are provided whereby the scraper blade is drawn toward the end walls of the sedimentation zone for transverse alignment therewith at the approach of the bridge to the end walls, so as to eliminate solids accumulation adjacent thereto.
