ABSTRACT:
An apparatus in which fixed and variable indicia are printed on a receiving member. One portion of a xeroprinting master has an imagewise pattern corresponding to the fixed indicia formed thereon. The xeroprinting master is uniformly charged and, the portion thereof having the imagewise pattern formed thereon, uniformly exposed to light energy. This records a fixed electrostatic latent image corresponding to the fixed indicia thereon. Another portion of the charged xeroprinting master is selectively exposed to light energy to record a variable electrostatic latent image corresponding to the variable indica thereon. The fixed and variable electrostatic latent images are developed, and the developed image is transferred to the receiving member to print the fixed and variable indicia thereon.
