ABSTRACT:
A high voltage power supply for an x-ray tube operating from a single phase alternating current source and including a phase shifter and/or solid state switch for providing first and second phase signals. Each of these signals or one of them are half-wave rectified. An output combining circuit provides for transformation to a high voltage while at the same time providing for additive combination of the signals from the half-wave rectifiers.
