Provided is a cooked rice molding apparatus which ensures that a formed cooked rice product falls while keeping almost the same posture without inclining. Part of a concave molding surface420of a forming roller410is open toward an end surface of the forming roller410and a groove-like guide portion460is provided in a pair of supporting panels450which support both end surfaces of the forming roller410, whereby part of cooked rice compressed within the concave molding surface420and pushed out of both ends of the concave molding surface420is received by a guide portion460and part of the rice ball is caused to fall along the guide portion460.
