ABSTRACT:
A transmitting apparatus for inserting new information from a designated position of one channel and transmitting in a transmitting system for compressing a series of information signals by a non-prediction coding and a prediction coding which uses non-prediction coding information as reference information and for transmitting prediction coding information and the non-prediction coding information in accordance with a predetermined order, wherein the non-prediction coding information after an insertion point and the past information than the non-prediction coding information are preserved, and a first predetermined number of information in the information to be inserted is prediction coded by using the non-prediction coding information after the insertion point as reference information.
