An apparatus for holding a calendar comprises: a back plate4; a hinged bracket5being hingedly connected to the back plate; a receiving plate15being fixedly attached to the hinged bracket and having a horizontally oriented slot16; means for releasably closing the back plate and hinged bracket assembly; and means for attaching the back plate to a vertical surface.
