ABSTRACT:
A structure for a high-speed chain trencher permitting entrapment of trenched soil and conveyance thereof to a lateral position away from the trench leaving a clean trench so that drainage tubing and compacted sand fill may be installed in the trench free of loose soil and without the necessity of additional trench preparation after passage of the trenching machine. The conditions of usage of the present invention are particularly useful in installing drainage beside highways for enhancing pavement life.
