ABSTRACT:
A method for the determination of the ion concentration, specific gravity, or osmotic pressure of a solution, which comprises causing to contact a solution under test a coloring substance formed of a pigment or a precursor of pigment having solubility correlated with the ion concentration of said solution and detecting the solubility of said coloring substance in said solution, and an apparatus therefor.
