A system, method, apparatus, means, and computer program code that facilitate verification of a source of funds for payment to an account, including receiving payment information associated with the account for a payment to the account, receiving an indication of a payment for the account, the indication including a source of funds for the payment, determining that the source of funds for the payment is an approved source of funds, and providing, in the instance the source of funds for the payment is not an approved source of funds, a notification via electronic communication.
