ABSTRACT:
A gas reduction apparatus12is provided for reducing the amount of gas15emitted from a cooling tower10into the atmosphere. The apparatus12in accordance with the principles of this invention includes a first air conduit13which collects the gas15and chemical particles therein released from the cooling tower10before they are released into the atmosphere. The conduit13then provides a path for the gas15and chemical particles formed therein to flow to a liquefier16. The liquefier16converts the gas15to a liquid17. A filter32is coupled adjacent the liquefier16to separate the chemical particles released into the liquefier from the liquid17formed in the liquefier. The liquid17is then directed through an outlet conduit34to a cooling tower reservoir36where it finds itself back into the cooling tower10.
