ABSTRACT:
Apparatus, and an associated method, for performing joint equalization of received data vectors, received during operation of a multiple-input, multiple-output communication system. Slicing operations, implemented alternately as group slicing operations, decoupled slicing operations, and successive slicing operations are implemented at a joint equalizer of a receiving station of the multiple-input, multiple-output communication system. Once jointly equalized, equalized data vectors are provided to a joint decoder.
