The present invention relates to a novel ribonucleotide reductase inhibitor and new combinations comprising an antiviral compound, such as acyclovir, and a thiocarbonohydrazone ribonucleotide reductase inhibitor for the chemotherapeutic treatment of virus infections, especiallly viruses of the herpes group.
