ABSTRACT:
Oligonucleotides, and compositions thereof, are disclosed which can be administered to human and animal subjects to inhibit the expression of .beta.1-adrenoceptor to thereby control hypertension and cardiovascular disease for prolonged periods with single doses. Methods for treating humans and animals using oligonucleotides and compositions are also disclosed.
