Certain 2-substituted-1H-phenanthro[9,10-d]-imidazoles such as 2-[(1,1,2,2-tetrafluoroethyl)-sulfonyl]-1H-phenanthro[9,10-d]imidazole, are useful as antiinflammatory agents.
