ABSTRACT:
A novel anthracycline antibiotic designated rudolphomycin is produced by fermentaion of Actinosporangium sp. ATCC 31127 and isolation of the new antibiotic free of substances co-produced therewith. Rudolphomycin and its pharmaceutically acceptable salts exhibit antimicrobial activity and inhibit the growth of mammalian tumors.
