A corrosion inhibiting mixture comprising(A1) corrosion-inhibiting pigments,(A2) amorphous silica modified with metal ions, and(A3) at least one compound of the general formula I:in-line-formulae description="In-line Formulae" end="lead"?Mn(X)m (I)in-line-formulae description="In-line Formulae" end="tail"?in which the variables and indices have the following meanings:M is at least one central atom selected from the group of Lewis acceptors,X stands for Lewis donor ligands having at least one bridging atom selected from elements of main groups 5 and 6 of the periodic table of the elements,n is from 1 to 500, andm is from 3 to 2000;coating materials comprising said mixture and their use as coil coating materials.
