ABSTRACT:
A novel enzyme inhibitor of angiotensin I-converting enzyme was produced from an actinomycetes belonging to genus Streptomyces. This enzyme inhibitor is a peptide, and specifically inhibits the angiotensin I-converting enzyme, but does not inhibit thermolycin, pepsin and .alpha.-chymotrypsin.
