ABSTRACT:
An arrangement and method for decoding an input transport signal, such as an MPEG transport signal, and inserting closed caption data presents an analog video encoder with decompressed video data and closed caption data at a single interface. This avoids polling by a microprocessor and the hardware and software expense.
