ABSTRACT:
The invention claims a method (and system) for correcting an analog signal for undesired signal components comprising the steps of (and means for) receiving the analog signal; digitizing the analog signal to generate a raw digital signal; processing the raw digital signal to generate a digital correction signal; converting the digital correction signal to an analog correction signal; and applying the analog correction signal to the analog signal to generate a corrected analog signal.
The method and system may be adapted to correct for a set of undesired components, or to correct a train of analog signals. The method and system may be used for correcting digital signals. In a particular embodiment, the method and system may be used to correct for offset and/or gain nonuniformities in the output signals from detector elements in a focal plane array.
