ABSTRACT:
The present invention relates to .alpha.-amylase-pullulanase enzyme of a new type produced by Clostridium thermohydrosulfuricum bacterium and to a method for the production of the soluble enzyme by culturing Clostridium thermohydrosulfuricum strains. The invention further relates to a method for the production of maltose and maltotriose from starch by using the enzyme.
