ABSTRACT:
Novel amphoteric emulsifiers for solventless and solvent containing rapid setting and mixing grade, oil-in-water anionic and cationic bituminous emulsions are disclosed which emulsifiers are the reaction products of polyamines and the polycarboxylic acids of the general formulae ##STR1## wherein x and y are integers from 3 to 9, x and y together equal 12, at least one Z is a carboxylic acid group and any remaining Z is hydrogen.
