ABSTRACT:
Mechanism for releasably retaining a projectile in an upright position win a military tank. A solenoid-controlled pawl releasably engages a side surface of the projectile to retain said projectile in position. Energization of the solenoid withdraws the pawl from the projectile surface, thereby enabling the soldier to remove the projectile from the mechanism.
