ABSTRACT:
Liquid amine terminated polyamide addition products having an average molecular weight of about 3,000 to about 10,000 are prepared by the non-catalytic reaction of a dicarboxylic acid having a molecular weight within the range of about 130 to about 700 with a higher molecular weight polyoxypropylene diamine having an average molecular weight within the range of about 1,500 to about 6,000 and with a lower molecular weight polyoxypropylene diamine having an average molecular weight within the range of about 200 to about 700, the reaction conditions including a temperature within the range of about 150.degree. to about 280.degree. C., a pressure of about 0.1 to 20 atmospheres and a reaction time of about 2 to about 5 hours.
