The alloy body may be homogenized at a temperature in the range of 900.degree. to 1100.degree. F and thereafter worked into wrought products such as sheet or extrusions which are solution heat treated and quenched and aged to a T4 condition prior to forming into automotive body panels, bumpers or the like, which may then be strengthened by heating or aging to the T6 condition.
