ABSTRACT:
A chalk-fade resistant TiO.sub.2 pigment exhibiting excellent gloss and dispersion that is comprised of TiO.sub.2 particles with a composite coating of dense alumina and boehmite alumina totaling 2-6% by weight alumina based on the TiO.sub.2 and a process for the preparation of such TiO.sub.2 pigment.
