ABSTRACT:
A process for polymerizing carbon monoxide and at least one C.sub.3 -C.sub.10 .alpha.-olefin in the presence of a catalyst comprising palladium, a non-noble transition metal salt of an acid with a pKa of less than 2, and a bisphosphine compound, in the presence of a diluent comprising at least 5 volume percent of an aliphatic primary alcohol, and at least 75 volume percent of at least one of a aliphatic tertiary mono-alcohol or an aromatic hydrocarbon, forming a copolymer.
