ABSTRACT:
.alpha.-(Hydroxy and alkoxy substituted)phenyl-.alpha.-(2-piperidinyl)methanols of the formula ##SPC1##
Where R is hydrogen or lower alkyl, R.sup.1 is hydrogen, hydroxy or lower alkoxy, and R.sup.2 is phenyl, phenyl-lower alkyl, diphenyl-lower alkyl, phenoxy-lower alkyl or diphenoxy-lower alkyl, and the non-toxic pharmaceutically acceptable acid-addition and quaternary ammonium salts thereof.
