ABSTRACT:
Acylmethoxycarbonylbenzotrizoles with an ester substituent are disclosed which are represented by formula (I): ##STR1## wherein R.sub.1 is an aliphatic oxy group having 1-10 carbons or an aliphatic amino group having 2-10 carbons; R.sub.2 is hydrogen or an aliphatic group having 1-5 carbons; and the group ##STR2## is bonded to a 5- or 6-position of the benzotriazole and which are useful in silver halide photographic sensitive materials, synthesis intermediates therefor, synthesis intermediates for medicines, rust inhibitors for metals and the like.
