ABSTRACT:
Imides of the formula I ##STR1## in which E is allyl or methallyl, R is hydrogen, alkyl, alkenyl, cycloalkyl, aryl or benzyl when n is 1, and R is alkylene or arylene when n is 2, are intermediates for the preparation of crosslinked polymers with excellent physical properties. The polymers can be used, in particular, for the preparation of glass fiber-reinforced and carbon fiber-reinforced plastics and as electrical insulating materials.
