ABSTRACT:
An alkylene oxide adduct of phosphosulfurized N-(hydroxyalkyl) alkenylsuccinimide characterized by the formula: ##STR1## where R.sup.1 is alkenyl of from 10 to 30 carbons and X and Y are divalent saturated aliphatic hydrocarbon radicals of from 2 to 6 carbons. In addition, automatic transmission fluid compositions and concentrates thereof comprising a major amount of a lubricating oil and a friction modifying amount of the alkylene oxide adduct and method of operating an automatic transmission having friction sensitive power transmitting means employing the aforedescribed automatic transmission fluid composition.
