ABSTRACT:
This invention relates to alkylene oxide adducts prepared by alkoxylating an initiator, containing polymerized ethylene oxide, with a C.sub.3 or higher alkylene oxide, and polyurethane foams prepared therefrom. The invention offers the advantage of preparing alkylene oxide adducts and polyurethane foams with acceptable properties, where the availability or the possibility of conducting an alkoxylation reaction with ethylene oxide is restricted or not at all feasible.
