ABSTRACT:
Bis(pyridinium quaternary salts), typically those of the formula: ##SPC1## wherein R.sup.1 and R.sup.2, which may be the same or different, are each an alkyl having 8 to 14 carbon atoms, n-undec-10-yl, 2-n-hexyloxyethyl, 2-(2-butoxyethoxy)ethyl, 3,4-dichlorophenyl, 4-chlorobenzyl, 2,4-dichlorobenzyl or 2-naphthylmethyl; A.sup.1 and A.sup.2 are each a direct linkage or a linking group of the formula:
