C.sub.10 to C.sub.20 alkyl sulphate salts of which at least 15% of the alkyl groups are branched and formulated as free flowing particulate compositions which comprise a polyalkylene glycol and/or a glycol diester or glycerol triester of a C.sub.12 to C.sub.24 alkanoic acid.
