Novel compounds, that is, alkoxy- and phenoxy-alkyl esters of 2,6-dimethyl-4-(2-difluoromethoxyphenyl)-1,4-dihydropyridine-3,5-dicarboxy li c acid have the following general formula useful for producing hypotensive and vasodilation effects. ##STR1##
