A refill container housing-type airtight compact container comprises a container body2; a lid body3; a refill container7; an inner frame4that has a circumference wall29and an annular cover18formed around the circumference wall to conceal a container joint15and a cut14and to cover a space between the circumference wall and the container body, that is fixed in the container body to house the refill container therein, and that has formed therein an engaging tab that fastens the refill container, a hinge receiving portion35, and a recess37that receives a closing portion36of the refill container; a finger-hooking flange27of a lid portion5of the refill container; a press-down portion28of the lid body that presses down the finger-hooking flange; first and second airtight seal portions58, 59that seal the refill container air-tightly; and a push piece8that opens the lid body and the lid portion at the same time.
