ABSTRACT:
An air pump for bicycles comprises: an air storage tank5for storing compressed air which is charged thereinto from a manual pump30through tank-charging passages43band43a; an air-charge valve44or49for preventing air stored in the air storage tank5from reversely flowing toward the manual pump30through the tank-charging passages43band43a; air passages43aand43cwhich extends from the air storage tank5and which is formed at its tip end with an air discharge port which charges air into a bicycle tire; and an opened and closed valve for opening and closing the air passages43aand43c. With this structure, it is possible to provide an air pump for bicycles capable of swiftly charging a large volume of high-pressure air into a bicycle tire.
