ABSTRACT:
The invention provides a method for selectively hydroxylating a diamondoid compound to an alcohol of the diamondoid compound comprising contacting the diamondoid compound with an oxygen-containing gas under hydroxylation conditions including temperature of at least about 70.degree. C.
