ABSTRACT:
A particulate comestible material is agglomerated by an apparatus which has two movable endless surfaces positioned to form a nip therebetween. The apparatus provides for forming a flowable phase at the surfaces of particulate material supplied to the nip which are then conveyed through the nip so that the particles converge, merge, join and consolidate, and then the flowable phase is resolidified.
